Wold Newton Meteor Strike
On December 13th, 1795 near the hamlet of Wold Newton in England, a meteorite struck the Earth. The Wold Newton Meteorite was the first meteor fall observed in Britain. Some of the fragments of the rock are held at the Natural History Museum in London.
